A Bowling Green man accused of robbing a National City Bank branch in September was indicted Wednesday by a Warren County grand jury.

Jeremy Dale Martin, 27, of 1402 Parkside Drive, is accused of handing the teller at the bank's Russellville Road location a note demanding money, according to the Bowling Green Police Department report.

The letter threatened that Martin had a weapon, though one was never shown to the teller, and the teller gave Martin an undetermined amount of money and he fled on foot east toward downtown, according to the report.

Martin was taken into custody Oct. 2 when police received information he was hiding at the house. He was found in the attic.

Martin is also charged with being a persistent felony offender. He has a May 26, 2005, conviction for fraudulent use of credit card over $100, and a Feb. 23, 2000, conviction for second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, theft over $300, and criminal possession of a forged instrument, according to the indictment. On Jan. 21, 1999, he was convicted of theft over $300.

His bond was set at $75,000 cash.
