A Bowling Green man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident just after 9 a.m. Sunday in Barren County.
Joshua M. Martin, 26, was riding with friends on Scottsville Road about eight miles south of Glasgow when the group passed a car and Martin’s motorcycle traveled too close to the right shoulder. Martin lost control of the motorcycle in loose gravel, according to a Barren County Sheriff’s Office report.
Martin, who was wearing a helmet, overturned several times and struck a guardrail before the motorcycle stopped, according to the report.
He was treated at the scene for multiple injuries and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, according to the report.
A 15-year-old Bowling Green girl told police she was raped between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday at Bowling Green High School in a bathroom next to the football field, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report.
The girl stated she was jogging around the track when a man dragged her into the men’s restroom, according to the report. She was forced against the wall and raped.
The girl was able to provide police with a cell phone picture of the suspect, according to the report. Medical exams were also done on the victim and samples were taken from the restroom. The victim knew the suspect before the incident
No one has been arrested.
Accident — Three people were injured in an accident at about 6 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Lake Road in Warren County.
Betty York, 42, of Bowling Green was driving west on Lake Road when her vehicle entered the oncoming lane and struck a vehicle head-on driven by Richard Hooten II, 35, of Bowling Green, according to a Kentucky State Police report.
York was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by helicopter for non-life threatening injuries. Jeff York, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital and is in stable condition.
Hooten was not transported. His passenger, Trisha McKnight, 18, of Bowling Green was taken to The Medical Center and treated and released.
Arrest — Pedro Perez-Patishstan, 32, 1500 Bryant Way No. A-3, was charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, disregarding a stop sign, driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, no operator’s license and failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance at 2:37 a.m. Sunday at Beech and Church streets.
Perez-Patishstan sideswiped a police cruiser, ran a stop sign and fled from a moving vehicle, according to a city police report. Open beer cans were found in Perez-Patishstan’s vehicle.
He is at the Warren County Regional Jail without bond.
Arrest — Pamela Kay Trout, 41, 95 Kelly Lane, Lafayette, Tenn., was charged with aggravated driving under the influence and first-degree wanton endangerment at 7:56 p.m. Saturday at 2945 Scottsville Road, according to a city police report.
Trout had another person in the vehicle with her. She failed a field sobriety test and her speech was very slow and slurred, according to the report.
Burglary — Golf clubs, a nail gun kit and a laser level valued at $4,106 were stolen between 12:01 a.m. Thursday and 11:59 p.m. Saturday from a garage in the 900 block of Lois Lane, according to a city police report.
Burglary — A window was broken and a gold wedding ring and antique clock valued at $3,345 were stolen between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Amy Avenue, according to a city police report. Blood and fingerprints were found on the window.
Burglary — Two bicycles valued at $730 were stolen between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. from a storage building in the 1400 block of Longview Drive, according to a city police report.
Criminal mischief — Four tires were slashed and a vehicle was scratched causing $2,200 in damage between 4:45 p.m. Thursday and 8:50 a.m. Friday at AFNI at 2625 Scottsville Road, according to a city police report.
Criminal mischief — A concrete trash can and bicycle rack were damaged between 11 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday at Roland Bland Park at 225 E. Third Ave., according to a city police report. A vehicle apparently backed into the items. Damage was estimated to be $1,200.
Criminal mischief — A vehicle was damaged and an apartment window broken causing $350 in damage between 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Navajo Drive, according to a city police report.
Forgery — A check for $2,284 was forged from a Bowling Green account at 3:55 p.m. June 6 Independence Bank, 2415 block of Nashville Road, according to a city police report.
Forgery — A forged check for $2,184 was passed between 3:26 p.m. Friday and 10:50 a.m. Saturday at American Bank & Trust at 1302 Scottsville Road, according to a city police report.
Forgery — A forged check for $2,127 was passed between 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday at National City Bank at 2629 Scottsville Road, according to a city police report.
Robbery — Two women entered a residence between 11 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, assaulted the resident and took cash and a cell phone valued at $360, according to a city police report. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Loop Drive.
The cell phone was found behind the residence where two suspects were found, according to the report. There have been no arrests.
