BROWNSVILLE — Waneta Vincent, 88, of Brownsville died July 19, 2008, at her residence.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and a foster grandparent. She was a daughter of the late John R. Roof and Estella Vincent Roof and the wife of the late Leon Vincent. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Vincent.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Poplar Spring United Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Midway Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville chapel.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Potter and her husband, Richard, and Lana Van Meter and her husband, Phillip, D.M.D., all of Bowling Green; two grandsons, Eric Potter, M.D., and his wife, Jennifer, of Nashville, and Brandon Wilson of Bowling Green; two great-grandchildren, Colson and Lauren Potter; a brother, Darrell Roof and his wife, Wilma, of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
