SCOTTSVILLE — Leroy Petty, 70, of Scottsville died at 4:57 p.m. Aug. 27, 2008, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.
The Allen County native was a retired General Electric employee, a former Missionary Baptist minister and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Graham Lodge No. 208 F & AM and the National Sport and Clay Association. He was a son of the late James Leon Petty and Mozella Nichols Petty. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lewis Petty.
Funeral is at noon Saturday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial with military rites by the Barren County DAV at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graham Lodge No. 208 will have Masonic rites at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. All Master Masons wishing to participate should be at the lodge at 6:30 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Petty; a son, Ricky Martin of Scottsville; two daughters, Vicky Allen and her husband, the Rev. Paul, of Sparta, Tenn., and Nickie Madden and her husband, Chris, of Scottsville; a former daughter-in-law, Misty Martin of Scottsville; two brothers, Jerry Petty and Tracy of Clarksville, Tenn., and Charles Michael Petty and his wife, Martha, of Ekron; two sisters, Laverne Tingle and Sharon Gayle and her husband, Robert, all of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
