Steve Azar to host and perform benefit concert during Campbell Chevrolet Celebrity Golf Classic Oct. 21

On Friday, September 26, tickets went on sale for a benefit concert to be held at Western Kentucky University Diddle Arena at 7pm on the closing night of the Campbell Chevrolet Celebrity Golf Classic. Singer-songwriter Steve Azar will host and perform at the concert that is part of the two-day golf tournament, also hosted by PGA champion John Daly. Proceeds from both events will benefit various autism charities in the central and south-central regions of Kentucky.

Scheduled to join Azar in the benefit jam are Jessica Andrews, Ira Dean, Colt Ford, KingBilly, Johnny Lee, Marcel, Julie Roberts, Ray Scott, Phil Stacey, Restless Heart's Larry Stewart, Trailer Choir, Dan Tyminski and more. All musicians attending the event will perform for the audience consecutively before joining each other on stage for an all-out jam session.

Celebrity athletes confirmed to participate in the tournament include previously announced Jim McMahon, plus Scott Erickson, Steve Lindquist, Billy Joe Tolliver, Frank Viola, Wesley Walls and Frank Wycheck.

In addition to Campbell Chevrolet, many other local companies have joined in sponsoring the event, including Team Construction; Keystops; Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling; Reynolds, Johnson, Hinton and Pepper LLC; Chandler Real Estate and AirGas.
