POLICE NEWS: Police search for two men who robbed Burger King at gunpoint

Two men with guns robbed Burger King at 3020 Scottsville Road between 12:25 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. Monday.

The two men entered through a back door with ski masks covering their faces, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report. The men forced an employee to the floor and put a gun in another employee’s face and forced her to open the safe.

The men forced the employees into a cooler. They stayed in the cooler about 15 minutes before running from the restaurant to contact police, according to the report.

The employees could not provide any identification of the two men. About $3,000 was taken from the restaurant, according to the report.

Burglary — Four video game systems, accessories, games, a tool set and a digital camera, valued together at $2,155, were stolen between 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Hogle Drive, according to a city police report.

Burglary — Employees returned to a business as two men were removing items around 10:10 p.m. Saturday at CSS Quick Drive at 3362 Industrial Drive, according to a city police report. The men fled when they saw employees.

About $2,500 was stolen from the business and there was $600 in damage, according to the report.

Burglary — A laptop computer, video game system, four games, a comforter, a DVD player, six DVDs and an iPod, valued together at $1,810, were stolen between 3:45 p.m. and 4:06 p.m. Saturday from an apartment in the 700 block of Patton Way.

Burglary — A television valued at $1,870 was stolen between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Monday from an apartment in the 1400 block of N. Sunrise Drive, according to a city police report.

Criminal mischief — Two windows and a mirror were broken on a vehicle, causing $600 in damage, between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Kentucky Street, according to a city police report.

Criminal mischief — The rearview mirror was broken and control knobs were pulled off causing $400 in damage to a vehicle at First Baptist Church, 621 E. 12th Ave., according to a city police report.

Criminal mischief — A store’s front window was broken causing $800 in damage between 10 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday at Wishy Washy, 1561 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, according to a city police report. There was also $20 taken from the business.

Criminal mischief — Someone drove through fresh concrete causing $620 in damage between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street, according to a city police report. The city had poured the concrete over the sidewalk and it will have to be replaced.

Criminal mischief — A vehicle was hit with a baseball bat causing $590 in damage between 11:33 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. Saturday at the Ramada Inn, 4767 Scottsville Road, according to a city police report.

Theft — A video camera, tripod, case, microphone and cassette tapes, valued together at $3,210, were stolen between 1 p.m. and 4:21 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of College Street, according to a city police report. The equipment belongs to Western Kentucky University.

Theft — A cell phone valued at $330 was stolen between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Jennings Road, according to a city police report.

Theft — An engagement ring, a camera, a debit card and cash, valued together at $2,683, were stolen from a vehicle between 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday at Great Escape Theater, 323 Great Escape Drive, according to a city police report.
