Elevated Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin will have an ordination service at 6 p.m. Saturday. The community is invited to Glenview Christian Church as it celebrates 40 years as a New Testament Church in Glasgow on Dec. 7, with Bible study at 9 a.m. and morning worship at 10 a.m. The special worship service will feature a “Preacher’s Quartet” with special music, along with a testimony from one of the original charter members and a multi-media presentation of the 40-year history. The morning message is “Will the Real Church Please Stand Up?” A victory celebration meal will follow. Child care will be provided. The service will offer a word of comfort and hope for those for whom Christmas is not always a joyous occasion.
