POLICE NEWS: Crime Stoppers looking for break in spa burglary

Crime Stoppers needs help. The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a burglary at a local salon and spa.

Sometime late Dec. 27, Regina Webb’s Salon and Spa on Westen Avenue was burglarized. The culprit broke in and rummaged through desk drawers and filing cabinets. A computer-controlled cash drawer containing a small amount of cash and checks was stolen from the business.

Crime Stoppers tips are left anonymously and information that leads to a conviction could lead to a reward of up to $1,000.

Arrest — Shawna Marie Vincent, 25, 1333 Scottsville Road, was charged with two counts first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence and operating on a suspended operator’s license at 10:39 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of Scottsville Road, according to a city police report.

Vincent was found driving erratically with her two sons, ages 1 and 6, inside the vehicle, according to the report.

Arrest — Kalen Victor Tinsley, 18, 886 Lynnwood Ave. Apt. B, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, DUI, representing another’s operator’s license as their own, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended operator’s license at 6:57 p.m. Monday during a traffic stop at 508 Dishman Lane, according to a city police report.

Theft — A GPS, an MP3 player, a case, 10 CDs, clothing, sunglasses, a handicap parking sticker and prescription drugs valued at $529 were stolen from a vehicle between noon Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Lee Circle, according to a city police report. There was also $1,470 in damage to the interior of the vehicle.

Theft — A wallet, cash and identification valued at $310 were stolen around 4:50 p.m. Sunday from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Russellville Road, according to a city police report.

Theft — An MP3 player, cash and Sudafed valued at $385 were stolen between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday from a residence in the 1300 block of High Street, according to a city police report.

Theft — A car radio faceplate and amplifier valued at $1,400 were stolen around 2:30 a.m. today in the 1000 block of Shive Lane, according to a city police report. There was also $400 in damage to the vehicle when a window was broken.

Theft — An iPod, sunglasses and an FM transmitter valued at $465 were stolen between 2 p.m. Dec. 30 and 9 a.m. Dec. 31 from a vehicle in the 500 block of Belmont Avenue, according to a city police report.
