Community Education of Bowling Green and Warren County and Hills Pet Nutrition are pleased to announce that plans are underway for Spell-A-Bration 2010. This year’s Bee will take place Friday, February 19, 2010, at Sloan Convention Center. We are currently seeking teams of 3 to compete in an adult spelling bee based on the annual Scripps Spelling Bee.

Previous Spell-a-Bration Champions include the law firm of Kerrick, Stivers, Coyle, & Van Zant, Western KY University’s Division of Extended Learning and Outreach, Bowling Green City Schools, and WBKO. Businesses are encouraged to compete and urge their competitors to sign up against them for bragging rights!

The Bee is for individuals and corporations who still have the competitive spirit, but don’t want to run marathons or race cars!  Community Education will furnish study guides with words and tips.

Other features of the bee include costume contests, spirit awards, dancing, a meet and greet reception prior to the bee, and a silent auction. One of the most anticipated events of the evening is the arrival of the official words. Each year a new and different method of arrival is used, from puppies, to the Blues Brothers, to Elvis!

For more information, visit the Community Education website, www.commed.us, or call the office at 270-842-4281.

This event is a fundraiser for Community Education, to help offset costs for after school programs.
