Car vs. motorcycle

Bowling Green Police Officer Jeff Eversol examines an accident between a car and motorcycle Saturday at College Street and Riverview Drive. The driver of the car, Brenda Baumgartner, of Bowling Green, will not face charges. Christopher Manely, 28, of Bowling Green, who was driving the motorcycle, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he was in critical condition Saturday.

" So, in Kentucky, you have to wear a seat belt while driving (or riding) in a vehicle, which by the way, has 4 wheels and a significant amount of protection on all sides and top to bottom, yet motorcyclists are not required (anymore) to wear head protection (notice the helmet strapped to the back seat) while riding a two-wheeled, relatively unprotected motorcycle. Genious! "
