Woman dead at Parks & Rec

Police are looking for witnesses in the slaying of Martha “Bettina” Richmond.

The body of the 51-year-old Bowling Green woman was found in her van Sunday night in the parking lot of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, 225 E. Third Ave.

Police were called to the parking lot just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night. Police found Richmond’s body in her tan Honda Odyssey van.

Richmond was a mathematics professor at Western Kentucky University.

Police are not releasing any more information about the crime, but are asking anyone with information about the crime or who may have seen Richmond to call the Bowling Green Police Department at 393-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 781-CLUE.
