Philip Irl Huddleston, 61, of Bowling Green died at 5:28 a.m. July 5, 2001, at The Medical Center.The Nashville, Tenn., native was Assistant United States Attorney for Western District of Kentucky, a senior partner at Huddleston and Huddleston Attorneys, concentrating in civil litigation, business law, and bankruptcy law, admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, United States District Courts for Western and Eastern Kentucky and all state courts and administrative agencies in Kentucky, was a Bowling Green High School, Dartmouth College, and Vanderbilt University School of Law graduate, commodore at Port Oliver Yacht Club, and member of the Kentucky Bar Association in Civil Litigation and Bankruptcy Sections and House of Delegates, serving as president of Young Lawyers Section, Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys, Federal Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Bowling Green Bar Association, serving as president, Kentucky Council on Post-Secondary Education, Bowling Green Board of Education, Warren County Council for Literacy, Barren River Regional Crime Council, Chamber of Commerce, Arts Alliance, and Rotary Club. He was a son of the late Paul R. Huddleston and Frances Martin Huddleston Link of Bowling Green, who survives.Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at The Presbyterian Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel.Other survivors include his wife, Judge Margaret Huddleston; two daughters, Cameron King Huddleston Lebedinsky of Washington, D.C., and Robin Barte Huddleston of Memphis, Tenn.; a stepson, Ryan Wermeling of Bowling Green; two brothers, Judge Joseph R. Huddleston and Lee Huddleston, both of Bowling Green; a sister, Laura Snyder of Cary, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
