Two Tennessee men were indicted Wednesday by a Warren County grand jury for allegedly passing counterfeit money at several Bowling Green businesses.

Joshua L. Jones, 22, 1801 Tammany Drive, Nashville, and Jason R. Anderson, 22, 1390 Randall Anderson, Madison, Tenn., were charged by the grand jury with 20 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Jones and Anderson were arrested on Jan. 19 after attempting to pass two counterfeit $20 at Sonic Drive-In, 4825 Scottsville Road, and a counterfeit $10 bill at Arby’s, 2932 Scottsville Road, according to a Bowling Green Police Department report.

The restaurants notified city police, and an officer saw the vehicle in which they were traveling parked at CVS Pharmacy, 1122 Lovers Lane.

Jones told police he had passed more than 25 counterfeit $10 bills at several businesses in Bowling Green that day, according to the report. A search of the vehicle revealed 25 counterfeit $10 bills and four counterfeit $20 bills, and an additional 80 counterfeit $10 bills were found hidden under the carpet of the vehicle.
