Chesa Marie Cox, 35, of Warren County, died at 2:53 p.m. Dec. 3, 2010, at her home.
The Warren County native was a loving daughter and mother. She enjoyed cooking, music, television, spending time on the computer, playing Wii with her son and watching him grow up. She was a 1993 graduate of Warren Central High School and was in her junior year at Western Kentucky University, studying to be a certified public accountant. She was a bookkeeping associate at Home Depot. Chesa had a wonderful sense of humor and was greatly appreciated by all who knew her and all who had the chance to experience life with her. Chesa will be sadly missed by her son and family. She was a daughter of the late John Edward Cox and Sharon Basham Cline, who survives, with her husband, Billy Joe “Joe” of Bowling Green. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Martyne Cox and John Henry Cox; maternal grandparents, Millard Basham Sr. and Helen Ramsey Basham; an uncle, Freddy Cox; and a second uncle, Darrell Cox.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and until the funeral Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a longtime companion, Christopher Larue Moore of Bowling Green; son, Benajah Cox of Bowling Green; two half sisters, Shyanne Anthony and Shania Anthony, both of Bowling Green; two half brothers, C.J. Moore and Walt Moore, both of Bowling Green; four aunts, Pat Cox of Logansport, Jo Ann Vanderpool of Bowling Green, Linda Bearden of Sun Rise Beach, Texas, and Marsha Epley and her husband, Charles Randy, of Evansville, Ind.; four uncles, Millard Basham Jr. and his wife, Becky, Bobby Basham and his wife, Dorothy, and Jerry Basham and his wife, Mary, all of Bowling Green, and Bruce Basham and his wife, Brenda, of Smiths Grove; and longtime friends, Sonya Horn, Pam Ford, Misty, Brandie and Jackie.
