Evelyn Jean Hines, 79, of Bowling Green, passed away Feb. 3, 2012, at her home. She was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bowling Green to the late Strother Watson and the late Xena Vance Watson. She was married to the late Hugh Hines. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and worked as a secretary for McKinny Bookkeeping.

She is survived by three sons, Strother Hines and his partner, Julia Dianne Brown, of Bowling Green, Richard Hines and his wife, Christy, of Encinitas, Calif., and Bobby Hines of Bowling Green; three daughters, Rrene Hines- Duvall of Bowling Green, Lori Hines Cole and her partner, Becky Hawkins, of Bowling Green, and Tena Hines Cross and her husband, Gary, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; one sister, Roberta Angle of Bowling Green; one brother, Melvin Watson and his wife, Betty, of Woodburn; 15 grandchildren, Smitty, Josh and Stephanie Hines, Kendall and Paige Hines, Nicole and Natalie Hines, Savannah, Chase and Tyler Duvall, David, Michelle and Noah Cole, Ashley Cross Gantt and Jamie Cross Phelps; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and best friend of 70 years, Ruth Basham.

Visitation will be on Monday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
