Mayme Jane “Ma” Wood, 94, of Bowling Green died at 2 a.m. Sunday at her daughter’s residence.

The Barren County native was born June 20, 1913. She was a homemaker and a housekeeping employee for City-County Hospital. She was a member of Shiloh General Baptist Church and an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers. She is a daughter of the late Blaine Evans and Settie Lawrence Evans, and the wife of the late Pate Renick Wood. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Blaine Wood; a grandchild, Ronnie Wood; and a sister, Eunice Landrum.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Margie Grinstead and her husband, Nathan, of Bowling Green; a son, Renick Wood and his wife, Ellie, of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, Dale Lawrence and his wife, Elaine, Sandra McCuiston and her husband, Ted, Darrell Wood, Stevie Wood, Kathy Littrell and her husband, Kenny, Teresa Anderson and her husband, Mike, Janet Morgan, Donna Collins and her husband, Andrew, Jimmy Wood, Tracey Ortiz and her husband, Oscar, and Dennis Wood and his wife, Sheila; six stepgrandchildren, Connie, Diane, Buck, Spunky, Jimbo and Delana and their families; 12 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
