GLASGOW - The Barren County boys' basketball team (24-5) scored 51 second-half points and shot 81.8 percent after halftime against Allen County-Scottsville on Thursday, earning its second straight District 15 championship with a 75-52 win at BCHS.
Four players scored in double figures for the Trojans, who made 18 of 22 shots in the second half, including 16 of 17 shots from inside the 3-point line.
Senior guard Dalton Bush led the way with 16 point and 10 rebounds, followed by junior guard Barrett Billingsley (14 points), senior guard Jaucoby Poore (12) and senior guard Clay Simmons (12).
ACS (15-16) shot 50 percent in the second half and was paced by senior guard Austin Napier's 11 points. Senior guard Matthew Holder added nine points.
Holder, senior center Austin York and sophomore forward Dyllan Harper were named to the all-tournament team from ACS, along with Poore, Bush, Simmons, Monroe County's Dillon Geralds and Glasgow's Quentel Bradley.
Both teams advance to Region 4 Tournament, which begins Monday at E.A. Diddle Arena. The tournament draw will take place Saturday night at Greenwood High School after the District 14 title game.
