The Western Kentucky football program picked up three commitments Sunday. De’Andre Simmons, Rashad Greene and Cam Lewis all gave verbal pledges to come to WKU.
Simmons is a 5-foot-11-inch, 180-pound cornerback from Royal Palm Beach High in Royal Palm Beach, Fla. A two-star prospect, Simmons claimed an offer from Middle Tennessee. He was one of nine visitors on campus this weekend.
Greene is a 6-1, 175-pound defensive back who played the 2012 season at Southwestern College in California. A product of Warner Christian Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla., he also reportedly had interest from Nevada and Wisconsin.
Lewis is a 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Ballard High in Louisville. He reportedly had offers from Alcorn State, Illinois, Murray State, Tiffin and Toledo.
Simmons, Greene and Lewis join Donald Rocker, Jimmie Sims Kalvin Robinson, Tanner Reeves, Drew Davis, Leverick Johnson, DaMarcus Glover, Todd Porter, Aaron Jackson, Nicholas Norris, Shaquille Johnson, Marcus Ward, Johnny Delaney, Kyle Jones, Marcus Adams, Devante Duclos, Jalen Edwards, Juwan Gardner, Justin Martinez, Joe Occhipinti, Isaac Tanner and junior college signees Raphael Cox, Connor Popeck, Maurice Bennett, Dalton Patterson and Lonnie Turner as part of the 2013 signing class.
