The Western Kentucky football program received a pair of verbal commitments Wednesday. Brandon Ray and Kylen Towner gave their pledges to become Hilltoppers.

Ray is a 6-foot-3-inch, 255-pound offensive lineman from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala. Ray has no other reported offers, nor is he rated by any major recruiting service.

Towner is a 5-8, 170-pound defensive back from St. Luke’s Episcopal in Mobile, Ala. He reports offers from Northern Illinois and Alabama-Birmingham.

Ray and Towner join Leverick Johnson, DaMarcus Glover, Todd Porter, Aaron Jackson, Nicholas Norris, Shaquille Johnson, Marcus Ward, Johnny Delaney, Kyle Jones, Marcus Adams, Ismael Aurismond, Devante Duclos, Jalen Edwards, Juwan Gardner, Justin Martinez, Joe Occhipinti, Dishan Romine, LaBront Scott, Isaac Tanner, Dontravious Wilson and junior college signees Raphael Cox, Connor Popeck, Maurice Bennett, Dalton Patterson and Lonnie Turner as part of the 2013 signing class.
