The Western Kentucky softball team looks to keep its eight-game winning streak against Sun Belt Conference foes rolling as it visits Florida International this weekend.

The series begins with a 3 p.m. CDT doubleheader today before the single-game finale at 11 a.m. Sunday.

WKU (32-14, 15-3 SBC) notched its fifth win over a ranked opponent this season when it won the first game of a doubleheader 1-0 at No. 11 Missouri on Wednesday. The Lady Toppers fell in the day’s later game 7-1.

FIU (27-21, 10-8 SBC) holds the series advantage over WKU, 28-19. The Panthers have also won seven of the last nine meetings, including taking the series last season 2-1 in Bowling Green.

WKU is 8-12 all-time at FIU.
