The Western Kentucky men’s basketball program confirmed Wednesday it received a signed letter of intent from guard Derrick Clayton (6-foot-5, 182 pounds) of the Elev8 Sports Institute in Delray Beach, Fla., to join the program next season.

WKU is expected to confirm the additions of forward Justin Johnson (6-7, 235) of Perry County Central High School and Avery Patterson (6-1, 180) of Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga. WKU coach Ray Harper is scheduled to discuss the signees this afternoon.

The Hilltoppers also have a verbal commitment from forward Rob Marberry (6-8, 225) of Franklin Road Academy in Nashville to join the program next season as a preferred walk-on.
