Man arrested, suspected of impairment after fatal Lovers Lane crash

A Bowling Green woman was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Lovers Lane, and police arrested a man on several charges.
According to the Bowling Green Police Department, officers were called around 6:13 a.m. Wednesday to the site of the crash in the 300 block of Lovers Lane, near the entrance to the Warren County Public Schools central office and Briarwood Elementary School.

Police said that Ryan Bagwell, 30, of White House, Tennessee, was traveling north on Lovers Lane when he crossed into the southbound lane and crashed into a vehicle driven by Ashley C. Porter, 40, of Bowling Green.
Porter was pronounced dead at the scene, while Bagwell was taken to The Medical Center for treatment.
Police took Bagwell into custody, and he was booked into Warren County Regional Jail on charges of vehicular homicide when under the influence of drugs, first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (third offense), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Lovers Lane was closed for the rest of the morning as BGPD accident reconstructionists investigated the crash.
The road reopened early Wednesday afternoon.
