Joe Angolia, who served as a graduate intern during the 2002-03 school year, was named assistant director of Athletic Media Relations at Western Kentucky on Thursday.Angolia will assist in the promotion of all 20 Hilltopper sports and will serve as the primary contact for volleyball, mens and womens swimming and softball.After beginning his internship at Western in October, Angolia focused on promoting the softball, golf and tennis programs. He also assisted in game-day operations for football, and mens and womens basketball.A Danville native, Angolia graduated from Boyle County High School in 1998 and earned a bachelors degree in communications from Xavier in 2002.
