Franklin Electric Plant Board is an electric utility seeking an Office Manager/Office
Accountant. This position is a supervisory role, overseeing the daily activities of the
Accounting and Customer Service Departments.
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
• Staffing, training and scheduling of administrative staff
• Oversee the general ledger updating process and review for completeness and
• Supervise the cash disbursement, accounts payable and payroll processes
• Coordinate annual budget preparation process by collecting, analyzing and
consolidating financial data
• Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits; provide information to
external auditors
• Direct accounting policy and system of internal controls
• Oversee the recording of the work order process to ensure timely and accurate plant
• Report monthly to TVA
Job Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
• Knowledge of accounting systems, theory and internal control systems
• Ability to direct staff
• Ability to provide leadership, counsel and motivation to employees
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and customer information
• Ability to change quickly to respond to different areas of responsibility
