Blankenships celebrate 50th anniversary

Truman and Wilma Blankenship

Truman and Wilma Blankenship of Bowling Green celebrated their 50th anniversary in October.

Blankenship and the former Wilma Young French were married Oct. 11, 1968.

Truman is retired from Eaton Corp. Wilma is retired from Holley Carburetor.

They have five children, Ronnie French of Bowling Green; Gary French of Bowling Green; Jimmy Blankenship of Bowling Green; Kenneth French (deceased); and TaJuana Blankenship Garvin of Lebanon, Tenn. They have eight grandchildren, Brandi, Micah, Amie, Lori, Jarrett, Zachary, Brianna and Tyler. They also have nine great-grandchildren, Logan, Mason, Carson, Kayden, Bryce, Colter, Ishmael, Sadie and Blakely.

The couple celebrated their anniversary Oct. 28, 2018, with family at Anna Community Center.
