The children and grandchildren of Edwin and Gwendolyn Davidson would like to announce their parents’ 50th anniversary.
Ed and Sue were married by the Rev. Henry LaRue on May 23, 1969, at the Potters family’s home in Rockfield. They were accompanied by Linda Valentine and Billy Davidson. All of their family and friends accompanied them in Sue’s parents’ front yard. Sue was the youngest of 23 siblings and Ed had 13 siblings. They met in high school and were each other’s high school sweethearts.
To this union, two children were born, Tonya Irvin and Kenny Davidson. They also gained a son-in-law, Franco Irvin, and a daughter-in-law, Letisha Davidson. They have five grandchildren, Franco Jr., Daqwaun, Antre, Nevaeh and Khadance. They are the proud great-grandparents of one very sweet little boy, Jamarri Ray.
Fifty years later, they still reside in Rockfield and love yardwork, family gatherings and of course each other.
