The Rev. John Carroll Coomer and Mrs. Janice Kay (Addington) Coomer of Bowling Green are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Jo Coomer, to Jeremy Ford Johnson of Owatona, Minn. Mr. Johnson is the son of Mrs. Linda Kay (Woodlee) Johnson Boone of Lewisburg and the late Mr. Larry Ford Johnson and stepson of the late Mr. Joel V. Boone.
Ms. Coomer is the granddaughter of Mrs. Margie Coomer of Columbia, the late Rev. John L. and Mrs. Nancy Coomer of Columbia and the late Mr. Kenneth and Mrs. Thelma Addington of Radcliff. Mr. Johnson is the grandson of the late Mr. Freddie and Mrs. Hazel Woodlee of Russellville and the late Mr. Ellis and Mrs. Enola Johnson of Lewisburg. The couple would also like to remember a very special uncle to the bride, the late Rev. J. Harold Coomer.
Ms. Coomer is a 1992 graduate of Greenwood High School and attended the University of Evansville where she studied music therapy and voice. Mr. Johnson is a 1993 graduate of Daviess County High School (Owensboro). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biblical studies from Moody Bible Institute.
The couple will be wed March 30, 2019, at Broadway United Methodist Church. The Rev. Adam Shourds, their pastor and friend, will officiate. A reception will follow at The Charleston. Invitations have been sent.
Following their honeymoon, the bride and groom will reside in Owatona, Minn.
