Zachary Dennis Martin of Bowling Green High School is a winner in the Annual Washington Crossing Foundation National Scholarship Competition. The awards are granted to high school seniors for the best all-around presentations including an explanation of why they are planning careers in government service.

Zack, an AP Scholar, is in the National Honor Society and Beta Club. He was named a National Speech and Debate Association Academic All-American. As a varsity letterman and team captain, he led his school’s Speech and Debate Team. Zack is leader of his school’s A Capella Advanced Choir and Orchestra.

He opened the Kentucky House of Representatives by singing the national anthem, then served as a legislative page. Zack participated in the Governor’s School for the Arts in vocal music, was a finalist in the Governor’s Scholars Program and was also awarded a spot in the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs. He participated in JROTC and was an American Legion Boys State Delegate.

Zack plans to continue his family’s military legacy that dates to the Revolutionary War and attend Western Kentucky, Army ROTC.
