Price named champion of 2019 oratory scholarship contest

Braedon Price, the son of Braxton and Amie Price of Bowling Green and a junior at South Warren High School, competed in the Area “A” American Legion National High School Oratory Scholarship Contest.

Price, who represented District 3, was the champion of the contest and will advance to represent Area “A” at the department (state) level in Frankfort.

He previously garnered $150 for his District 3 win and was awarded $500 for his area championship. He will compete for another $2,000 in prizes at state and the opportunity to vie for $18,000 at the national level.

The department contest will be March 3 in Frankfort. The national contest will be April 5-7 in Indianapolis.
