Jonathan Knight and Nicholas Martin, both rising seniors at Bowling Green High School, were among 135 students to participate in the 79th Annual Kentucky Boys State.

Sponsored by American Legion Post 23 of Bowling Green, Knight and Martin spent a week at Campbellsville University studying U.S. and Kentucky history, government and politics. Designed to train youths in the fundamentals of good citizenship and governmental operations, Kentucky Boys State also emphasizes the importance of health, education, mutual respect and service to others.
