Bowling Green’s City Hall at 1001 College St. was one of two winners of August beautification awards presented by Operation PRIDE.

The city improved the look of the historic building with landscaping and signage, a news release said.

The August beautification award winner in the residential category was the Larry and Helen Bledsoe residence at 1216 Henry St.

The monthly awards are part of Operation PRIDE’s mission to promote activities that enhance and maintain Bowling Green’s appearance.
