Roam Sandwich Company owner Calvin Wiley took advantage of a calm, rainy Sunday to visit the Jackson’s Orchard area.

During the roaming joyride, Wiley shared his idea about the restaurant becoming more of a small venue for community events. The place can hold up to 30 people who can purchase his food and drink but bring their own cake.

Wiley has other ideas about adding to the restaurant, including the possibility of late night meals or selling kabobs. He is taking suggestions from patrons about adding possible events.

Events the shop already has scheduled for this week are: Thursday, 6 p.m., a photography meet-up; Friday, 8-10 p.m., the business will have a Full Moon Patio Jam with folk duo, The Pruitts. On Saturday vocalist Jordan Reynolds of Bowling Green will host a Pop-Up Flower Shop from 4:30- 8:30 p.m. before her Rose Hotel set at Tidball’s Sounds and Spirits Bar.
