Garland Embry Reeves, 84, of Bowling Green died at 3:05 p.m. April 18, 2005, at The Medical Center.

The Warren County native was a developer and Realtor, a 1939 graduate of Bowling Green High School, a 1943 graduate of Western Kentucky University, a member of Lehman Avenue Church of Christ and Rotary Club of Bowling Green, a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award, a charter member of Western Kentucky University Hundred Club, a longtime supporter of WKU athletics and academics, a member of Masonic Lodge, a longtime member of Bowling Green Country Club and Bowling Green Board of Realtors and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a son of the late D.D. Reeves and Johnnie Ethel Basham Reeves. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis Earl Reeves and his wife, Sharon, of Martinsville, Va., Steven Wallace Reeves and his wife, Betsy, of Louisville, and Ronald Kane Reeves of Nashville; a brother, Lester D. Reeves and his wife, Dorothy, of Panama City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews.
