Harry Clifford Peart Jr., 77, of Bowling Green died at 12:20 p.m. April 20, 2002, at The Medical Center.The Chattanooga, Tenn., native was a retired C.P.A. and a partner in the James R. Meany and Associates Accounting Firm and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where he served as an elder, a board member and elder emeritus. He earned a bachelors degree from Bowling Green University and received the Alumnus Award from Western Kentucky University, where he was a member of the Cherry Society. He belonged to the Kentucky Society of C.P.A.s and The American Institute of C.P.A.s. He served as past president of Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce and United Way. He was also a member of Sons of the American Revolution, The Canby Robinson Society of the Vanderbilt Medical School and the Issac Shelby Society of Centre College and was a board member for the Kentucky Heart Association. He was a son of the late Harry Clifford Peart Sr. and Mary Johnston Peart.Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Christ Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.Survivors include his wife, Jean Lewis Peart; a daughter, Harriette Johnson of Bowling Green; a grandson; and a granddaughter.
