16-year-old says boyfriend raped her in high school’s restroom

A 16-year-old Bowling Green High School student reported she was raped Friday by her boyfriend in a school restroom.
She told the Bowling Green Police Department that after lunch at school, her boyfriend approached her from behind in the hallway, grabbed her shoulders and pushed her into a men’s restroom handicapped stall.

He demanded sex, and when she refused, he tied her up with belts, removed her clothes and raped her, according to a police report.
Another male student entered the bathroom and tried to stop the assault, then a teacher forced the locked stall door open, she said.
Drug charges – The Barren County Sheriff’s Department arrested Reece Young, 28, Saturday at his 618 Bluff Springs Spur home and charged him with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia second offense, violation of an emergency protection or domestic violence order, first offense growing marijuana.
Deputies responding to dispute call noticed the strong smell of marijuana, and upon searching, found bags of marijuana and seeds, and 15 plants growing in cups in the backyard, according to a sheriff’s press release.
Rape – A Bowling Green woman reported Saturday she was raped the previous night.
The woman told city police she went to Southern Lanes to meet a man she’d met through her son to go barhopping in Nashville, and found him singing karaoke in the bar.

She told police she had one drink, but a Southern Lanes employee later said she’d been drinking heavily most of the night.
The woman said she didn’t recall much after leaving the bowling alley, but remembers checking into a room at the Cardinal Motel, where another man was present.
She awoke in the room around 5 a.m. to find she had been raped, and that $400 cash and jewelry worth $130 were missing.
Robbery – A cab driver reported an attempted robbery at the corner of Pedigo Way and Avalon Court late Sunday night. The man, who had a bloody mouth and minor injury to the back of his head, said he answered a call for a cab to the 2600 block of Avalon Court. He was approached by three men who attacked him and tried to ransack his cab, he told police. The cabdriver pulled a pocket knife, and the men fled into Bryant Way Apartments, he said.
