Three people were taken to a hospital after two boats collided Wednesday afternoon on Barren River Lake.
Officials said the collision occurred near Goose Island, one of four islands on the over 10,000-acre lake.
Kentucky State Police said they received an alert about the crash and dispatched the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife around 3:30 pm.
Game Warden Lucas Hurt said there were 12-15 passengers total between the two boats and that all were brought back to the Barren River State Park Marina.
Hurt said the incident is under investigation.
Information about why the boats collided, names of the passengers and the extent of their injuries had not been released Wednesday evening.
