UPDATED 4:06 P.M MAY 18: The meetings that were set Tuesday for votes on a settlement agreement regarding Hitcents Park Plaza have been cancelled.
EARLIER MAY 18: Warren County Fiscal Court and the Warren County Downtown Economic Development Authority on Tuesday will consider approval of a settlement agreement regarding the commercial wrap of Block 6 in the Bowling Green Tax Increment Financing district, known as Hitcents Park Plaza.
Both the Fiscal Court and the Authority today announced back-to-back special called meetings to consider a settlement agreement.
The wrap has had financial problems for months. Liens were filed on the property for money allegedly owed to construction contractors beginning in late February.
Earlier this month, Fiscal Court voted to terminate the county's lease with Mills Family Realty for the wrap.
In late April, the authority voted to terminate its operating and subdeveloper agreements with Mills Family Realty.
The county, along with the Warren County Downtown Economic Development Authority, filed a lawsuit in March against Mills Family Realty and several contractors on the wrap project asking that mechanic’s liens on the property be declared invalid.
Fiscal Court will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Warren County courtroom in the county courthouse to consider a settlement agreement between the Fiscal Court, the authority, Mills Family Realty and MR Group.
The authority will meet at noon Tuesday in the county courtroom to consider a settlement agreement.
