One person was injured Monday when a car struck a mail truck.

Warren County Sheriff's Office deputies responded at 9:51 a.m. to Old Scottsville Road and Deer Valley Avenue, where they found a 2002 Toyota on its side.

Deputies learned a mail truck driven by Cheryl Selvidge, 40, of Park City, was stopped with its hazard lights activated.

As the Toyota, driven by Joe Upton, 71, of Bowling Green, attempted to pass in a no-passing zone, the mail truck attempted to make a left turn into a driveway. The passing vehicle then struck the left rear side of the mail truck.

Upton was taken to The Medical Center for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
