According to Kentucky State Police, troopers received a call about 1:30 p.m. from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance with an investigation into the crash on U.S. 68 near Stamps Road.

James Embry, 41, of Morgantown, was driving a 2006 Mack dump truck east on U.S. 68 near the Logan County line.

Embry had pulled onto U.S. 68 from Stamps Road and was accelerating when he was struck from behind by a 2004 International service truck driven by Blake Jones, 23, of Bowling Green.

Jones was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries and was listed in stable condition, according to KSP.
