One of two suspects in a reported robbery of a locksmith made a brief court appearance Friday, while the other remains wanted by police.
Adrian Cannon, 24, was scheduled to appear in Warren District Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing in a case in which he is charged with first-degree robbery.

Cannon’s attorney, Dennie Hardin, requested a continuance of the hearing, telling Warren District Judge Kim Geoghegan that he had just been hired to represent Cannon and needed time to go over the case with him.
Geoghegan continued Cannon’s preliminary hearing to March 6 and declined to modify the $10,000 cash bond against him.
Cannon was arrested Tuesday by the Bowling Green Police Department, which was called that afternoon to Sheppard Court regarding a robbery in progress.
City police said a locksmith had traveled to an address on Sheppard Court for a service call when he was approached by a man who brandished a gun and demanded items.
“The complainant advised he had been struck in the face with a gun and some of his tools had been stolen,” Cannon’s arrest citation said.
The locksmith told police a second person also assaulted him and that both people then took off running toward McDivit Court.

Officers were given descriptions of the two people involved.
Through investigation, police found that the locksmith was called to the scene from a phone number belonging to a person living on McDivit Court.
When police went to the McDivit Court address, they found Cannon and detained him, and were given consent to search the home.
“Inside of the residence, officers located a firearm, clothing that matched both suspects and property belonging to the victim,” Cannon’s arrest citation said.
Additional charges are anticipated.
Police identified the second suspect as Anthony Young, and have obtained an arrest warrant for him.
As of Friday afternoon, the warrant remains out on Young, who is described by police as 6-foot-1 and weighing 160-170 pounds.
City police said Young should be considered dangerous and may have a handgun.
Anyone with information on Young’s whereabouts can dial 911 or call BGPD at (270) 393-4000.
