Western Kentucky University’s Alumni Association announced Monday it elected nine new board members for 2019-20 and recognized two others who will serve one-year appointments.
A news release from the alumni association said these members will serve three-year terms on the 30-member board: Georgena Brackett of Scottsville, Dr. Todd Cheever of Bowling Green, Brent Ditto of Elizabethtown, Michael L. Fogle of Glasgow, Sherri Goldsmith of Bowling Green, Jenna Haugen of Louisville, Rita Roberts-Turner of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Jon Rue of Atlanta and Mike Tarter of Somerset. Two board members will also serve one-year terms as representatives of affiliated organizations are Juan “Jonny” Garcia of Nashville and Lucas Hackman of O’Fallon, Ill.
The alumni association said board members promote the organization’s mission, serve as a voice for WKU alumni worldwide, cultivate a pipeline of alumni volunteers, recognize alumni achievements and support alumni chapters and groups.
“Each of these new board members brings a unique perspective, and we are grateful to have their leadership as ambassadors of their alma mater,” said Anthony McAdoo, executive director of the alumni association.
