Bowling Green - Bobbie E. Scantlin, 86, passed away from pneumonia at The Medical Center on June 5. He was born on October 7, 1932, in Montauk, MO, to the late Earl and Bessie Scantlin. Bobbie served in the Army from 1953-55 in Salzburg, Austria. After his discharge, he moved to St Louis and worked for GM for over 30 years. He transferred to Bowling Green, KY, in 1981 and retired from GM in 1987. Bobbie was a proud member of UAW Local 2164. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother and his wife of 42 years, Hope Scantlin. Bobbie is survived by one sister and two daughters, Pam Van Damme and Kim Stoffregen; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, Keenan Fong and Kathleen Ching; and three stepgrandchildren. Cremation was chosen and provided by J.C. Kirby & Son.
