Subrina Rose Nichols Hood, 48, of Smiths Grove died at 7:36 p.m. Feb. 23, 2009, at 3020 Gotts-Hydro Road in Warren County.

The Pecos, Texas, native was a farmer. She loved her family dearly. God took you from us, now you are with your mom and dad. One day we will rejoice again. You and Ronnie were always together, never apart. You will always be in our heart. We love you, Mom and Sis. We miss you dearly. She was a daughter of the late Walter Nicols and Goldie Lawson Nichols and the wife of the late Ronnie Hood Sr.

Funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Hood Jr. and his wife, Sonya, of Brownsville; six brothers, Johnny Nichols, Danny Nichols and Joe Nichols and his wife, Sherry, all of Bowling Green, Tommy Nichols and his wife, Margie, of Spring, Texas, Timmy Nichols and his wife, Tony, of Magnolia, Texas, and Billy Nichols and his wife, Dottie, of Willis, Texas; four sisters, Flora Callender and her husband, Danny, Teresa Miller and her husband, Eddie, and Tina Harper, all of Bowling Green, and Sharon Rompot of Gainesville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kirstin and Kimberly Hood of Smiths Grove and McKenna Hood of Brownsville; and several nieces and nephews.
