Susie E. Curd

Susie Etta Slaughter Curd, 79, of Louisville died Aug. 27, 2005, at a Bowling Green nursing home.

The Shelby County native was a daughter of the late Bud Slaughter and Mary Evans Slaughter and the wife of the late Donald Curd. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Versie Hayes, Katherine Slaughter and Elizabeth Moore; and four brothers, Thomas, Roy, Robert and Phil Slaughter.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at 28th Street Baptist Church in Louisville, where she was a member, with burial in Green Meadows Memorial Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burnam & Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Other survivors include two sons, Raymond W. Slaughter and his wife, Stella, of Glasgow and Richard N. Slaughter of Louisville.
