Bowling Green, KY - After a brief but brave fight, Von Wallace, 66, of Bowling Green, KY, lost his battle with cancer on February 5, 2019. He passed away surrounded by his family at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY. Von was born in Owensboro, KY on December 23, 1952, to Ernie and Mary Wallace, who survive him. He came to Bowling Green to attend Western Kentucky University, and like so many others, he made it his home.

Von inspired everyone around him throughout his varied career. With his passion for photography, he owned Lens Unlimited with his brother Vic. With his love of cars, he sold BMW's at the Bowling Green dealership. For 25 years, he was a Project Manager at Stewart-Richey Construction Company until his retirement in 2017. Von always believed in loving what you do, and he truly loved seeing his projects realized from bare ground to completion.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Heck Wallace, his step children Adam Heck and Dr. Kristen Heck, both of Birmingham, AL, and his brother Vic Wallace (Rene) of Owensboro, KY. He is also survived by his Stewart-Richey family, whom he loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, February 9th at 3 PM at JC Kirby and Son Funeral Home on Lovers Lane. Visitation will be 11 AM until services begin.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Von's name to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society at: http://www.bgshelterpets.com/in-honor-or-in-memory.html.
