Someone either;

A- Doesn't know their Bible.

or, if they do

B- Hopes that you don't.

So, they are ignorant of the text. In which case they should refrain from such pronouncements. Or, they are being intentionally deceptive.

Enough Already

All you have to do is look at where he goes to church. They call NOTHING sin and refuse to call anyone out. They dance around issues like abortion and same sex marriage. Would it decrease their membership roles and cut their revenue stream if they took a stand? Yes, most likely. Jesus called these kinds of churches lukewarm and said he would spew them out of his mouth. Andy belongs to this "church" because there is nothing required and he can promote abortion, homosexual unions, etc. and remain in good standing. Andy and his wife belong to Beargrass Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Louisville where they are both deacons. You can literally wallow in your sin there.

From the church website:

We are a warm and welcoming, faithful and friendly congregation. (code for homosexual affirming)

Although our congregation can trace its roots back to 1784, we have “reinvented” ourselves time and again... (They track with the culture, not the Bible)

The above statements, with some "feel good language" is all you get.

This is a very liberal "church" in a political sense. They were started as a Baptist church in 1784 but they turned hard left in 1832 when they left the Baptists. In 1842 they united with another "Church of Christ" and they remain so today. Unlike most real Christian churches they publish no doctrinal statement on their website of what they actually believe, probably because you would call them apostate if they actually put it out there for the world to see.

The Disciples of Christ, also known as the Christian Church, has no creed and gives its congregations complete autonomy in their doctrine. (ANYTHING GOES!)

A little research establishes that they:

ordain women ministers.

ordain women elders.

have participated in unity discussions with the Roman Catholic church, apparently acknowledging the latter's claims and doctrines.

Some have denied the virgin birth of Jesus.

Some support gay marriage

Some have participated with other liberal denominations in undermining the accuracy and authenticity of the Bible.

belong to the National Council of Churches and World Council of Churches. (A bad thing)

This is likely the church of Laodicea in the book of Revelation.

Oh no! A “warm and welcoming” church, discussing unity with other Christian churches, and even allowing LADY PREACHERS!!! Quick, someone please lead me to the fainting couch and fetch me some smelling salts while I clutch my pearls!

Seriously, who are you to sit in judgement of anyone’s spirituality, let alone an entire church or group of churches? Whoever you are, you are not God, nor do you speak for him. With all the hate that you spew, it seems blasphemous for you to call yourself a Christian.

Enough Already

“Warm and welcoming” has become the preferred term to indicate to homosexuals that their perversion will be accepted as "normal". Churches that do this are ignoring sin and are heretics. You like the red letter passages in the New Testament? Read what Jesus said about this kind of church in Revelation 4:14-22. Jesus called them out and said they were lukewarm and he would spew them out of his mouth.

As for discussing unity with other churches, there can be no unity with heretics. All they would do is "leaven the whole lump". I know the Bible is not you strong suit, but that means their bad theology would just corrupt the other church - if they were not already corrupt.

As for women preachers, here again they are in error. No woman should teach in the public worship and service of the church. Here is some scripture for you to read:1 Timothy 2:12, 1 Peter 3:7, 1 Timothy 2:13-14, Corinthians 11:9, 2 Corinthians 11:3. This is not to say women are lesser, just that God gave them a different role. If you have a problem with that take it up with God because it is his word that makes all of that quite plain and any women who has taken on the role of pastor is in direct contradiction of God's word. Churches that allow that are heretics.

Now I suspect that you will be upset by what the Bible says but I really don't care. You can either believe the Bible and do what it says or continue to live in sin but you will answer to God, not me.

The Bible also commands us to call out sin and warn the person committing sin. It is not being judgmental to do this. In fact not doing it is a mistake. OT: Eze 3:18-21 NT: Luke 17:3, 1 Timothy 5:20-21, James 5:19-20

Have a real good day...
