On May 18, Bowling Green High School held its annual academic awards ceremony. That is when college scholarships are awarded to well-deserving high school seniors to help them fulfill their career dreams.

This year was our first year to present a scholarship, the David B. Moore medical award. This award was in honor of one of our graduating class favorites, David Moore, BGHS class of 1976. We lost David this past year (March 2020) and his widow, Patricia Moore, traveled to Bowling Green to make the presentation. The class of 1976 feels like this was a huge success.

We wish to thank each person or group who contributed to make a dream come true for two students, Z’Nyah Alyriq Owens and Ken-Yae Te’Shawn Cofer. We would also like to personally thank Steve Gaines for his work and positive contribution to this process. We hope to make this an annual event, so donations can still be mailed to:

Ms. Shaunna Cornwell, CFO

Bowling Green Independent School District

1211 Center St.

Bowling Green, KY 42103

Once again, we deeply thank everyone who helped make this happen.
