Letter was unfair in description of liberals
Stereotype: A fixed conception of a group; allowing for no individuality; a critical judgement. Like our president, Eric Wheeler resorts to name calling and insults (“Writer describes characteristics of liberals,” May 11).
I’m a liberal, a Christian, a patriot. I do support law officers and do stand during the national anthem.
I respect other people’s lifestyles and opinions, regardless of their race, creed or gender orientation.
God doesn’t make mistakes, but He will judge small-minded people who judge their fellow man. “Love one another” isn’t just a suggestion. It is a commandment.
Denigrating people you don’t agree with or don’t live like you is simply not Christ-like.
The pews at my church are filled with people of different nationalities, colors and differing political opinions.
For Mr. Wheeler to assert that every Christian thinks and believes as he does proves he has no actual insight into what others believe.
His negativity toward others is not representative of the conservatives I attend church with and am friends with.
We just agree to disagree. We coexist!
