Enough Already

Although there are exceptions, research into the behaviors of these shooters almost always turn up the fact that their problems have been and are being treated with powerful drugs. No one ever mentions the clearly established link between mass homicides and psychiatric drugs. The mental health watchdog organization, CCHR International, reported that at least 36 school shootings or other school-related acts of violence were committed by people who were either on psychiatric drugs or withdrawing from them – which can be just as dangerous. 80 people were killed and another 172 wounded. In addition, there have been many similar incidents where information regarding the mental health and psychiatric drug use of the killers was not made public, so the problem is likely far worse.

The psychiatric/pharmaceutical drug industry is worth $80 billion a year in sales alone, and the lobbyists for drug manufacturers have a bottomless supply of money to smooth the regulatory path. Politicians have adopted a “see no evil, hear no evil approach.” They look the other way as doctors and psychiatrists continue to prescribe antidepressant and anti-anxiety drugs despite their dangerous side effects, which include mania, violence, psychosis and homicidal tendencies.

Unless and until we expose the links between these drugs and the shooters this problem will not be fixed but the gun banners may succeed in disarming the nation which is their real goal.
