Warren County North’s 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars opened District 1 play with a resounding 16-0 win in three innings over East Daviess on Friday in Owensboro.

Briggs Young was 2-for-3 with six RBIs to lead WC North.

Colin Stevenson picked up the win for WC North, which faces Bowling Green East on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Warren County South 13, Logan County 4

Warren County South picked up a 13-4 win over Logan County in Friday’s opening round of District 1 play in Owensboro.

Camden Page started on the mound and earned the win, striking out five in 2 1/3 innings. Page also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two RBIs and scored three runs.

Also for WC South, Carson Smith was 1-for-3 with three RBIs and Joseph Fentress added two RBIs. James Yarbrough added a 2-for-3 day with an RBI.

WC South plays Owensboro Southern at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Bowling Green East 19, Hopkins County 3

Bowling Green East rolled to a 19-3 win in four innings over Hopkins County in Friday’s opening round of District 1 play in Owensboro.

Preston Davis, Colt Isenberg and Johnny Brown each had two hits and an RBI for BG East. Beau Bryant added a double and scored three runs and Tom Price had a hit and scored three runs.

Austin Arnold started and pitched two innings for the win. He struck out two. Chance Doyle (two strikeouts) and Jaylin White followed with an inning each.

BG East faces Warren County North on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Bowling Green East 15, Owensboro Southern 5

Bowling Green East broke the game open with a seven-run rally in the fourth inning en route to a 15-5 win over Owensboro Southern in the opening round of the District 1 tournament Friday in Owensboro.

Landon Gilbert paced BG East with a 3-for-4 effort and two RBIs. Hudson Nottmeier and Griffin Veazey added multiple-hit days for BG East, which didn’t commit an error in the victory. Lincoln Fowler added three RBIs and Jackson Lee and Veazey chipped in with two RBIs each.

Lee pitched four innings for the win, finishing with seven strikeouts. Fowler finished up with two innings of relief.

BG East will face Daviess County at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Warren County South 13, Hopkinsville 1

Bryson Graves went 4-for-4 with a triple and drove in three runs as Warren County South opened District 1 play with a 13-1 win over Hopkinsville on Friday in Owensboro.

Mark Maniere was 3-for-3 with a double and also drove in three runs for WC South.

Jaxen Decker added a 3-for-4 effort with a triple and an RBI. Decker also started and earned the win after allowing just one hit in three innings.

Decker struck out six.

WC South plays Owensboro Southern at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Daviess County 6, Warren County North 4

Warren North dropped a 6-4 decision to Daviess County in the opening round of the District 1 tournament Friday in Owensboro.

Jaydon Richie, Ayden Witherspoon, Brody Keown and Matthew York had RBIs for WC. Tosh Travis added a double.

Keown struck out four for WC North.

Hopkinsville 3, Warren County South 2

Warren County South dropped a 3-2 decision to Hopkinsville on Friday in the opening round of District 1 tournament play in Owensboro.

Brady Patterson and Gray Pearson had two hits apiece to lead Warren County South to the victory,

WC South will play Owensboro Southern at 3 p.m. Saturday.
